Location: Mechelen, Belgium
Sector: Workspaces

For a fresh start with new shareholders, the Products and Brands Group moved to new offices. CEO Frederic Vloeberghs explains
how they worked with Ethnicraft contracts team on a space design that would reflect the company’s change and vision.

What was the original requirement for this project?

When our company was bought by a new owner, we moved our offices. We worked with an architect on the structure and were
looking for great interior design to fill in the space. Especially after COVID, it was important to create a fresh and inspiring place for
our employees to come back to the office.

What has been your approach for designing this space?

We opted for an open floor plan, but with enough separate zones for colleagues to meet or isolate. Each department has its own area, and we have two phone booths and three meeting rooms. We especially love our “Bistro.” It is an open kitchen where we meet for lunch with colleagues or clients to share a coffee or a drink before and after work.

Why did you choose Ethnicraft furniture?

Ethnicraft’s wooden furniture perfectly balances our urban building.
We wanted high-end, modern, yet practical pieces that people would remember.
The variety of meeting tables, dining tables and high tables meets the diversity of spaces we needed.

How would you describe the space today?

When clients come into our office, there is usually a ‘wow’ effect!
Today, our offices really reflect the identity and spirit of the business: a dynamic, modern and cool company, ready for the future.

Overall, what has been your experience with Ethnicraft as a partner on this project?

The Ethnicraft team absolutely met our expectations.
We had a great communication and outstanding service for our project.
