LOCATION: Leuven, Belgium
SECTOR: Workspaces
It used to be an old port area. Warehouses and other industrial and commercial units occupied the scene until it was rejuvenated and transformed to give space for a new way of life.
Now, one of the old factories accommodates LannooCampus, a Belgian publishing house.
During the restoration, architects sought to honour and protect the original exterior and interior to maintain the legacy of the building.
In the office of LannooCampus existing structures, industrial concrete, and exposed brick walls remain, complemented by new, and primarily, wooden furniture like the Ethnicraft Oak Mikado meeting table, Oak Facette dining chair, Oak Oscar desk, and Oak N2 lounge chair.

Throughout the functional spaces, from meeting rooms and mini lounge to private offices and bar counter, the contrast between warm and cold materials, new and old references, perfectly blends.
It keeps the story of the past alive while providing a space for new stories to be told as people come together to work and connect.
